You are applying for a job with an independently owned cooperative member of Ace Hardware Corporation, who operates this Ace Hardware store, not Ace Hardware Corporation.
The independent store owner alone is responsible for and independently makes all decisions concerning employment related matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling.
Include the following:
Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
Thank customers by name, when possible.
Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
Follow all cash register transaction procedures.
Ability to process transactions accurately and maintain an accurate cash drawer Keep the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors neat and clean at all times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Other Essential Requirements Passion for helping customers and working with a team Availability must be flexible to the needs of the business Education/Training High School or GED equivalent.

We are looking to fill shifts weekdays from 8am - 6pm and some weekends.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
