Press Operator
Working as a Press Operator manufacturing company with 3 locations in West Michigan providing metal processing, metal finishing, powder coating and assembly.
Tasks will include but are not limited to working on secondary presses, setting up, running equipment.
This is a temp-to-permanent position.
Key Outcomes:
1.
Ability to set up and run equipment efficiently and safely 2.
Inspect product for proper quality according to customer specifications 3.
Consistently achieve the required rates that customer provides 4.
Use required templates when needed and understand after proper training Essential Job Functions:
1.
Ability to work in a steady, medium to fast pace environment 2.
Ability to run equipment safely and to maximize output while meeting customer quality 3.
Ability to work in a very physical position with lifting up to 35lbs regularly 4.
Available to work over time (after shift) and on the weekends.
Overtime may be required 5.
Cross-train to be versatile in the position Competencies:
1.
Must be a self-starter 2.
Must have good communication skills to communicate internally with supervisors & leads 3.
Must have good coordination and judgment 4.
Must have general math skills 5.
Must be able to take direction from supervisor 6.
Excellent work ethic and attendance is a must 7.
Ability to read blueprints, calipers & tape measures Skills and
Experience:
1.
Prior work experience in manufacturing is preferred.
2.
High School Diploma or GED 3.
Previous roll-form & fabrication experience preferred 4.
DL preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
